Healing Resources
One of the hardest truths for us to come to terms with is this: you cannot heal in the same environment that made you sick. Of course, the environment that made us sick could have many features: our nutrition, sleep patterns, physical activity, our relationships, our ways of navigating stress or emotional strain, even the thoughts and stories we tell ourselves about who we are or aren't in the world, or what the world is or isn't.

As we have stumbled down this road of healing, little by little, we've found tools that help. Small pieces of the puzzle that, at least for us, led to progress.

We invite you to take in the life-changing resources on this page little by little. Small steps over time cover a lot of ground. We used to take that for granted, wishing there was a different way to heal besides learning new ways to live, slowly (and often impatiently!) practicing new habits to replace unhealthy patterns of years. Then, in time, we realized living more healthfully and wholefully was exactly the kind of life we wanted for ourselves--the kind of life we deserve, and it slowly became easier to work little by little toward creating that healing environment inside and out. We're nowhere near done--that may be the task of a lifetime--but once you get started and see the difference it makes, you won't want to stop.

We share the steps and strategies that have been helpful to us, or that have seemed most consistently useful to those we know facing similar challenges of illness. It is NOT meant to be advice. Ultimately, each one of us is solving our own puzzle, testing out the pieces we find to resolve within ourselves what is helpful and what isn't. Coming soon...

Consider picking one of these and start with a sentence a day, or a paragraph a day for a week. Then if that goes well, try a page a day; then two. We each need new ideas and new ways of practicing this life to create a new environment for ourselves of wellness and well-being.
